What is Occupational Therapy (OT)?
According to the American Occupational therapy Association (AOTA), occupational therapy can be defined as a skilled treatment that helps individuals achieve independence in all facets of their lives. Occupational therapy assists individuals in developing the "skills for the job of living" necessary for independent and satisfying lives.
What is Occupational Therapy (OT) in school-based setting?
Within the school setting, occupational therapy may focus on any or all of the following areas as they impact educational performance: Sensory Integration, Fine Motor Skills, Perceptual Skills, and Self-Care Skills.
